The day brings a mix of consumer, industrial, and tech results, with more reports due next week.
PepsiCo reports on July 9 before the open, alongside Simple Mills, NTIC, and BYRN. WDFC reports after the close, and SLP reports after the close as well. FEIM, SOTK, SBEV, and VMAR are also on the calendar for July 9.
The earnings headlines already in the feed show a split tape. CNBC says PepsiCo misses estimates as U.S. consumers tighten their budgets, while Levi Strauss beats expectations and raises guidance and its dividend.
Tech and defense names also move on results. CNBC says Micron says the AI party is far from over, and AeroVironment surges on an earnings beat and backlog growth.
