PepsiCo headlines a busy start to earnings season
The calendar fills up fast, with PepsiCo, airlines, and major banks among the next reports to watch.
PepsiCo reports today before the open, with CNBC saying it cuts its earnings forecast as its North American turnaround takes longer than expected. Other names reporting today include HELE, TLRY, ANGO, BYRN, NG, and PKE.
Delta Air Lines reports on Oct. 9 before the open, giving traders a read on travel demand and margins. Later in the week, the calendar shifts toward bigger-name financials.
On Oct. 13, UNH, JPM, JNJ, C, WFC, GS and DPZ are all on deck before the open, with AZZ set to report after the close. That makes next week heavy with bank, health care, and consumer reads.
Earnings headlines already show a split tape. CNBC says TSMC posts a September sales surge as AI drives chip demand, while Nike shares drop after disappointing sales and layoffs. Accenture also rallies after an earnings beat.
