Bitcoin and Ethereum rise as the crypto complex widens
Crypto trades higher, with a bigger total market cap and gains in the two largest coins.
Bitcoin rises 1.3% to $63,998.6 and Ethereum gains 2.8% to $1,794.0. XRP adds 0.9% and BNB gains 1.3%, while Solana is slightly lower.
The total crypto market cap climbs 1.24% to $2.28T. Bitcoin dominance stands at 56.3% and Ethereum dominance at 9.5%.
The move comes alongside a cluster of crypto headlines, including Circle’s bank approval and a note that crypto is defying equity weakness into the weekend. Those headlines fit the price action, but the data here only confirms the move, not a single driver.
Among the larger coins, Dogecoin rises 1.7% to 0.0741, while Solana slips 0.1% to 77.95. Bitcoin remains below its 200-day moving average, and Ethereum stays above its 50-day average but below its 200-day.
