Asia mostly rises, Europe follows Wall Street higher
Foreign markets split, with gains in Japan, mainland China, and much of Europe offset by weakness in Hong Kong, Korea, and Australia.
Asian trading is mixed. The Nikkei 225 rises 1.4%, the Shanghai Composite gains 1.7%, and the Sensex adds 0.3%. The Hang Seng falls 0.7%, the Kospi slips 0.6%, and the ASX 200 loses 0.3%.
Europe finishes mostly higher. The DAX rises 0.9%, the CAC 40 gains 0.9%, and the Stoxx 600 adds 0.8%. The FTSE 100 edges up 0.2%.
Canada’s TSX adds 0.3%, while Brazil’s Bovespa jumps 3.0%. That keeps the global equity backdrop broadly constructive, even with some regional underperformance in Asia.
Among the market headlines, SK Hynix rises 13% in its Nasdaq debut and Meta draws fresh bullish attention. Apple’s lawsuit against OpenAI also lands as a notable tech headline, but the price data here only shows the broad market tone, not a direct cross-asset reaction.
