Bitcoin pauses as Ethereum keeps pushing higher
The crypto market cap rises 0.4%, but the move is uneven across the majors.
Bitcoin slips 0.3% to 64764.8516, while Ethereum rises 1.6% to 1919.29. Solana falls 0.4% to 77.45, XRP gains 0.4% to 1.1152, BNB is down 0.2% to 580.6, and Dogecoin falls 0.7% to 0.0739.

The setup is mixed in the technicals too. Bitcoin stays below its 200-day average, Ethereum remains below its 200-day average but shows a strong 14-day RSI at 81.0, and several altcoins remain below long-term trend levels.
CoinDesk headlines highlight a busy regulatory and infrastructure backdrop, including DTCC moving tokenized securities into live trading, Coinbase’s Jesse Pollak stepping back from Base app leadership, and South Korea moving to classify cryptocurrencies as national assets.
