Bitcoin fades as the broader crypto market slips

Crypto loses ground even as Bitcoin and Ethereum stay above their short-term trend lines.

Bitcoin falls 1.1% to 65785.2578, Ethereum drops 0.8% to 1912.34, and Solana declines 1.4% to 77.05. XRP, BNB, and Dogecoin also move lower.

The total crypto market cap falls 0.7% to 2.324T. Bitcoin dominance sits at 56.8%, and Ethereum dominance is 9.9%.

CoinDesk says Bitcoin holds near 66,300 as chips extend their rally and the yen hits a 40-year low, but the coin still closes down on the day in this feed. Bitcoin stays above its 50-day average but below its 200-day average.

Ethereum also holds above its 50-day average but remains below its 200-day average. The day’s crypto action looks like a mild pullback, not a full risk-off break.
