Stock funds rise, bond funds fade
Equity funds mirror the green close in stocks, while bond funds finish lower alongside higher yields.
The big stock index funds all rise. VFIAX gains 0.9%, VTSAX adds 0.9%, FXAIX rises 0.9%, and VTI climbs 0.9%. SPY is up 0.8%, QQQ gains 1.9%, DIA adds 0.7%, and IWM rises 1.5%.
Among balanced and bond-heavy funds, VWELX gains 0.6% while VBTLX falls 0.2%. TLT also slips 0.3%.
The pattern matches the broader market tape. Equity exposure works, especially in tech and small caps, while bond proxies and longer-duration funds face pressure as Treasury yields move higher.
EFA rises 1.5%, pointing to a firmer session in developed international stocks than in the broad European index alone. GLD gains 2.0%, in line with the higher gold price.
