Oil jumps, grains split, and metals trade unevenly
Energy leads the commodity board while agricultural contracts and industrial metals diverge.
WTI crude rises 3.8% to 86.8 and Brent gains 1.2% to 90.12. Nat gas adds 1.2% to 2.792. The energy complex is the clearest strength pocket in commodities today.
Agriculture is mixed. Corn jumps 4.0% to 463.75, soybeans rise 0.9% to 1188.25, and sugar gains 1.5% to 14.65, while wheat falls 3.8% to 638.0 and coffee drops 2.9% to 313.55.
Metals trade unevenly. Gold is essentially flat at 4098.6001, silver falls 1.8% to 57.775, copper rises 1.0% to 6.5075, and platinum adds 0.2% to 1655.5.
Among the commodity ETF proxies, GLD falls 1.5% and the oil move shows up across the board, even though the broader commodity tape remains mixed rather than one-way.
