Workday steals the spotlight in a packed earnings week
Earnings season stays active, with multiple reporters set to print and a handful of stocks already moving on news.
Workday dominates the earnings-related tape after CNBC reports its shares post the best day in 10 years on a Silver Lake takeover report. The stock also lands among the most active names in the market-wide tape, with 16294604 shares traded and a 17.8% gain.
Other names tied to the earnings stream are moving too. Sandisk is one of the day’s most active stocks and jumps 13.7%, while Salesforce rises 4.2% and Apple is in the news after Tim Cook and Howard Lutnick open a Houston manufacturing plant.
The next wave of reports is already on deck, including AMAT, BAP, NU, STNE, TPR, BN, GMRS, ARCO, AIT, LGN, YSWY, NOMD, BIRK, MWH, KLC, BSP, AVAH, GLOB, MH, and CAAP across morning and after-close slots.
CNBC also flags bigger-picture earnings themes, including record profit margins and ongoing debate over the AI trade.
