ETFs Mirror the Day’s Split Tape
Equity funds edge lower, bond funds soften, and gold funds gain.
The main stock funds finish mixed to lower. SPY falls 0.2% to 776.34, QQQ slips 0.1% to 731.07, DIA loses 0.2% to 536.8, and VTI is down 0.1% to 383.85. IWM is the standout on the upside, rising 0.5% to 305.09.
Outside equities, TLT falls 0.7% to 82.04 and VBTLX rises 0.3% to 9.54. GLD gains 0.6% to 401.48, matching the broader strength in gold prices.
International equity exposure is steadier. EFA is nearly flat, down 0.0% to 108.64. Wellington, which blends stocks and bonds, rises 0.4% to 47.67.
Several of the funds still sit above their 200-day averages, including SPY, QQQ, DIA, IWM, VTI, EFA, and Wellington. TLT remains below its 200-day average, consistent with the day’s rise in longer-term yields.
