Treasury yields climb across the curve

Rates push higher, while bond proxies stay soft and credit barely moves.

Treasury yields move up across maturities. The 5-year rises 0.7% to 4.381, the 10-year gains 0.5% to 4.664, and the 30-year adds 0.2% to 5.186. All three are still above their 50-day averages.

Bond funds do not get much lift from the move. TLT slips 0.2%, VBTLX falls 0.1%, and MUB loses 0.1%. LQD is down 0.1%, while HYG is down 0.0%.

The curve remains steep at the long end, with the 30-year above 5.0% and the 10-year above 4.6%. That keeps duration-sensitive assets under pressure even as day-to-day changes stay relatively small.

The bigger picture is a market that is still treating yields as a live risk factor. The VIX is lower, but rates are higher, and that combination keeps the bond tape from joining the equity calm.
