Oil, grains, and metals all catch a bid

Crude and copper rise, gasoline slumps, and farm goods keep their strong run going.

Energy leads the commodity board. WTI crude jumps 3.9% to 86.62, while natural gas rises 1.7% to 2.936. Brent is the exception, slipping 0.6% to 88.8.

Gasoline is the big outlier, tumbling 10.8% to 3.1138. That is the sharpest daily move in the complex and stands apart from the firmer crude tape.

Metals are mostly higher. Gold rises 0.7% to 4509.2998, silver gains 0.9% to 67.61, copper adds 2.4% to 6.718, and platinum falls 2.0% to 1810.0.

Agriculture stays hot. Corn gains 4.7% to 536.25, wheat rises 0.6% to 771.5, soybeans add 1.5% to 1295.0, sugar climbs 1.3% to 17.79, and cocoa rises 3.7% to 6768.0. Coffee is the big laggard, dropping 9.2% to 314.0.
