Crude jumps, gasoline sinks, and farm goods keep ripping

Energy surges on Middle East risk while grains, sugar, and cocoa stay hot.

Oil is the cleanest story in commodities. WTI crude jumps 5.9% to 90.79 and Brent rises 5.3% to 95.25, with market headlines tying the move to U.S. strikes in Iran and renewed concern over the Strait of Hormuz.

Gasoline moves the other way, dropping 8.1% to 3.1575. Nat gas adds 0.7% to 2.954.

Agriculture stays very strong. Corn climbs 5.9% to 545.5, wheat adds 3.2% to 781.0, soybeans rise 3.4% to 1318.5, and sugar gains 3.2% to 18.38. Cocoa slips 2.1% to 6509.0 after a strong run.

Precious metals mostly weaken, with gold down 1.2% to 4376.7998, silver off 2.3% to 64.715, and platinum lower by 2.2% to 1749.1. Copper slides 0.8% to 6.5385.
