Oil and metals rise as coffee gets hit

Energy keeps climbing, metals mostly firm, and softs split hard.

WTI crude rises 0.5% to 90.7 and Brent gains 0.7% to 95.32. CNBC and OilPrice both point to Iran-related supply disruption and tighter shipping through Hormuz as the backdrop, with OilPrice saying traffic craters to four ships as the conflict escalates.

Natural gas jumps 3.6% to 3.008, while gasoline falls 1.3% to 3.0959. Gold gains 1.9% to 4431.7002, silver rises 2.0% to 65.905, copper adds 1.5% to 6.606, and platinum edges up 0.4% to 1767.6.

Grains stay hot. Corn rises 4.0% to 542.5, wheat adds 1.4% to 774.75, and soybeans inch up 0.1% to 1308.75. Sugar gains 1.9% to 18.71.

Coffee is the outlier, plunging 13.1% to 297.35. Cocoa also falls 4.0% to 6290.0.
