Bitcoin slips as the broader crypto complex cools
Crypto market value falls 2.6%, with most major coins lower on the day.
The total crypto market cap falls 2.6% to $2.6T. Bitcoin drops 0.4% to 77,122.2578, Ethereum falls 1.4% to 2,383.47, Solana slips 0.2% to 99.75, and XRP declines 0.4% to 1.3458.
A few coins buck the weaker tape. BNB rises 0.6% to 686.53, while Dogecoin falls 0.4% to 0.0813.
Bitcoin dominance stands at 59.1%, and Ethereum dominance is 11.1%. The marketwide tone is still cautious, with CoinDesk highlighting pullbacks in bitcoin and XRP and a broader shift in attention toward rates and macro risk.
On the company side, CoinDesk says Kraken parent Payward delays its IPO to at least the second quarter of 2027, while Capital B says it aims to add 376 BTC to its treasury following an $8.8 million investment from Adam Back.
