Mutual funds soften with equities and bonds under pressure
Equity funds track the day’s small gains, while bond funds stay a touch heavy.
The big U.S. stock funds finish slightly lower on the day. VFIAX falls 0.7% to 705.34, FXAIX drops 0.7% to 265.58, and VTSAX loses 0.8% to 182.6.
On the mixed-asset side, VWELX declines 0.5% to 46.95. VBTLX falls 0.3% to 9.46 and remains below both its 50-day and 200-day averages.
The setup matches the broader tape: stocks close green, but bond yields remain elevated and the market continues to rotate underneath the surface.
