Bitcoin slips as the broader crypto market shrinks
Major tokens ease, while the total market cap drops 1.93% and Bitcoin keeps most of the market share.
Crypto ends lower across the main names. Bitcoin falls 0.9% to 78443.0781, Ethereum slips 0.3% to 2483.54, Solana dips 0.5% to 103.34, and Dogecoin loses 0.7% to 0.09. XRP is a small outlier, up 1.4% to 1.4172.
The bigger picture is weaker too. The total crypto market cap falls 1.93% to 2694918456560, while Bitcoin dominance sits at 58.3% and Ethereum dominance at 11.2%. That says the market is still tilted toward Bitcoin even on a down day.
Some tokens do better than the majors. BNB rises 1.7% to 752.41, and XRP holds a gain. But the overall tape is softer, with BTC and ETH both finishing in the red.
CoinDesk headlines point to a market still driven by institutional and infrastructure themes, including ETF flows, stablecoin payments, and company treasury moves. The price action today does not break that narrative, it just shows a quieter, softer session for the sector.
