Earnings season turns to retail, software, and travel

Today’s reports give way to heavy hitters over the next few sessions.

Today’s calendar includes CTAS, PAYX, FUL, CBRL, SFIX, and MANU. Tomorrow brings COST, SNX, DRI, SCHL, BXMT, LGCY, and POCI.

Recent earnings headlines keep the focus on AI and consumer spending. CNBC says Salesforce issues a fiscal 2030 revenue target above 63 billion dollars, Oracle posts 30% revenue growth on AI cloud demand, and TSMC sees August revenue surge more than 53% to a record high.

The consumer side looks more uneven. CNBC also reports J.B. Hunt warns third-quarter earnings will fall, while Macy’s raises guidance and Lululemon drops 20% after disappointing results.

The next few days should keep attention on discretionary spending, enterprise software, and the AI infrastructure trade, with NKE and CCL later in the month.
