Bitcoin holds near 84,000 as altcoins do the heavy lifting
Crypto finishes mixed, with Bitcoin lower, Ethereum barely higher, and several altcoins posting stronger gains.
Bitcoin slips 0.3% to 84091.0, while Ethereum edges up 0.2% to 2691.48. The total crypto market cap falls 2.3% to $2.9T, even as BTC dominance holds at 58.2% and ETH dominance sits at 11.3%.
The bigger moves are in altcoins. Solana jumps 4.4% to 122.16, XRP rises 2.3% to 1.5686, Dogecoin gains 3.5% to 0.099, and BNB inches up 0.1% to 776.98.

Technically, the biggest coins stay above their 200-day moving averages. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, BNB, and Dogecoin all do.
