Bitcoin slips as crypto market cap shrinks

The crypto market loses ground, with Bitcoin and Ethereum both lower.

Bitcoin falls 1.5% to 83195.4, Ethereum slips 0.3% to 2679.8, and Solana drops 3.1% to 118.33.

The total crypto market cap declines 3.1% to $2.9T. Bitcoin dominance sits at 58.2%, while Ethereum dominance is 11.4%.

Other major tokens are also weaker. XRP falls 1.6%, BNB loses 2.3%, and Dogecoin drops 3.1%.

The move leaves most large-cap crypto coins below their recent peaks, even though several remain above their 50-day and 200-day moving averages.
