Oil, metals, and crops split as traders digest supply headlines
Energy is mixed, gold firms a bit, and grains get hit hard.
Commodity trading is scattered. WTI crude rises 1.2% to 90.46, while Brent falls 4.4% to 98.07. CNBC's oil headline says exports through the Strait of Hormuz have hit prewar levels, but fuel shipments remain constrained.
Gold rises 0.2% to 4189.0, while silver edges up 0.1% to 60.715. Copper gains 1.4% to 6.637 and platinum climbs 2.4% to 1720.6.
Agriculture takes the biggest daily hit. Corn drops 4.0% to 501.25, wheat falls 2.5% to 675.25, and soybeans slip 0.3% to 1294.0. Sugar moves the other way, jumping 4.5% to 18.62.
Energy and softs are split too. Gasoline slips 0.2%, nat gas is flat at 3.012, and cocoa falls 1.3% while coffee rises 0.2%.
