Micron leads a packed earnings slate with AI still in focus
Big tech and chip names keep the earnings calendar at the center of trade.
Micron headlines the day after CNBC says it beats on earnings and issues strong guidance, with data center revenue jumping 11-fold. The stock calendar stays crowded: Micron reports today after the close, alongside J.B. Hunt, Conagra, FactSet, Cal-Maine Foods, and Progress Software.
The broader earnings narrative still revolves around AI. CNBC also flags Meta's best month since 2022 on AI momentum, and another earnings item says Salesforce raises its long-term revenue target to more than $63 billion for fiscal 2030.
Traders also have a fresh read on chip demand from TSMC, which CNBC says saw August revenue surge over 53% to a record high. That keeps semis and cloud names in focus even as yields rise.
On the watchlist, Intel gains 3.7% and NVIDIA rises 0.5%, while Jabil falls 10.0% and Lululemon is not in today's marketwide data but gets an earnings mention in the headline stream.
