Stock and bond funds split as the rate shock rolls on

Equity funds hold up better than bond funds, which stay under pressure.

The major equity funds track the mixed stock tape. SPY falls 0.2% to 762.63, VFIAX slips 0.2% to 707.76, and VTSAX drops 0.2% to 182.65.

Bond funds remain under strain. TLT falls 0.6% to 77.78, while VBTLX is flat at 9.23 and still below its 50-day and 200-day moving averages.

On the lighter side, the balanced fund VWELX slips 0.1% to 46.74, showing the day’s pressure is broad but not uniform across portfolios.
