Bitcoin slips as the crypto market cap shrinks

Major coins fade a bit, even though Bitcoin and Ethereum remain above their longer-term trendlines.

Bitcoin falls 0.6% to 85960.2969 and Ethereum slips 0.3% to 2718.7. Solana, XRP, BNB, and Dogecoin also finish lower or flat-to-lower on the day.

The broader crypto market cap drops 1.7% to $2.9T. Bitcoin dominance stands at 58.7%, while Ethereum dominance is 11.3%.

Despite the pullback, the trend is still constructive for several majors. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, BNB, and Dogecoin all sit above their 200-day averages.

Among the bigger names, Solana is still up 18.4% over the last month, while Dogecoin is up 14.8% over the same stretch.
