Index funds slip, while long bonds bounce

Broad stock funds track the market lower, and bond funds stay mixed as yields remain elevated.

Equity funds finish lower in line with the major indexes. VFIAX falls 0.2%, VTSAX drops 0.4%, FXAIX loses 0.2%, and VTI slips 0.4%.

On the bond side, the picture is uneven. TLT rises 0.9% and LQD gains 0.4%, but VBTLX is flat and MUB adds just 0.2%. That lines up with Treasury yields easing but still sitting at high levels.

International equity exposure also weakens. EFA falls 0.4%, matching the broader overseas risk-off tone seen in the major global indexes.

The one mixed-growth fund in the group, VWELX, slips 0.1% but remains up 1.4% over the week. That keeps it closer to the steadier end of the day’s fund lineup.
