NZ holiday could thin liquidity for NZD trading
With New Zealand markets closed, NZD liquidity is expected to drop, which may widen spreads and increase price swings, according to Forexlive.
Forexlive said New Zealand is observing a holiday on Friday, July 10, 2026, and while NZD trading will continue in other centers, overall liquidity is set to be much thinner.
The outlet warned that reduced liquidity can show up as wider bid-ask spreads and wider price swings during the session, advising extra caution for traders on the day.
Separately, Forexlive pointed to Japan’s upcoming data release, noting that at 2350 GMT, or 7:30 p.m. US Eastern time, Japan will publish PPI for June.
The expected backdrop is that Japan’s June PPI will be slower month over month than May, but faster year over year, the outlet added.
