Private equity bids trigger bidding war for easyJet
A second American private-equity bid has entered the process, escalating competition for the British low-cost airline.
A bidding war has erupted for easyJet after a second American private-equity bid entered the deal, following a top bid from Apollo, according to MarketWatch.
The contest now includes at least two private-equity offers for the British low-cost airline, with the added bid turning the situation into an active competitive process rather than a single-offer outcome, MarketWatch said.
