US completes new strikes on Iranian military targets, CENTCOM says
The CENTCOM update also put more than 50,000 US service members on duty across the Middle East, according to Reuters.
US Central Command said US forces completed new strikes on Iranian military targets, Reuters reported, citing CENTCOM.
The military said precision munitions were used against Iranian coastal defense systems, missile and drone sites, and maritime capabilities, with targets struck across several locations including Bushehr, Chahbahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa, and Bandar Abbas.
CENTCOM also said more than 50,000 US service members are currently deployed across the Middle East, according to the same Reuters report.
As the news developed, West Texas Intermediate was up 1.30% on the day at $78.85, FXStreet noted in its market context.
