Fed Chairman Warsh says he speaks often with Trump administration

CNBC Markets reports that Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh said he meets with the Trump administration often and described communication with the Treasury Department as a frequent practice.

Warsh said Wednesday that he speaks with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent frequently outside their regular weekly meetings.

He also defended the central bank's independence as part of his comments about the coordination.
