Aehr Test shares jump on fiscal 2027 revenue outlook

The company projects fiscal 2027 revenues of $130 million to $150 million, supported by an effective backlog of $100 million.

Aehr Test Systems Inc. shares rose 11.6% week-on-week after the semiconductor testing company issued a highly optimistic outlook for fiscal year 2027, citing continued strong demand for semiconductor testing.

In updated guidance reported by Yahoo Finance, Aehr Test targets revenue growth of 160% to 200% to a range of $130 million to $150 million, compared with $50 million last year. The forecast is supported by a $100 million effective backlog.

The upbeat outlook contrasted with weaker results in fiscal 2026, when net losses widened 82% to $7.1 million from $3.9 million in fiscal 2025, alongside a 15% revenue decline to $50 million. In the fiscal 2026 fourth quarter, the company reported a swing to net income of $1.4 million from a $2.9 million net loss year over year.

Yahoo Finance also noted that the company recorded record quarterly bookings of $60.7 million and backlogs ending at $80.6 million, and said the recovery in performance in the quarter reflected a 33% increase in revenue to $18.8 million. The outlet reported that hedge funds increased their positions, with 25 hedge funds holding shares as of the end of the first quarter, up from 17 previously.
