Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Q2 profit up 12% YoY on higher income

Consolidated revenue rose 3% YoY to ₹463 crore, but expenses climbed 14% YoY to ₹219.3 crore, pushing operating profit down 4% YoY to ₹243.7 crore.

Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC reported a 12% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹309.5 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, with revenue from operations increasing 3% YoY to ₹463 crore, according to LiveMint Markets.

The asset manager said total expenses climbed 14% YoY to ₹219.3 crore, driven by higher employee benefits, which rose 26% to ₹116.3 crore. Operating profit fell 4% YoY to ₹243.7 crore, although other income jumped to ₹162.4 crore from ₹117.9 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Despite pressure on operating profit, the company highlighted strong growth in its asset base. Its overall closing AUM, including mandates, rose to ₹10.7 lakh crore as of June 30, 2026, and quarterly average assets under management increased 42% YoY to ₹6.28 lakh crore.

During the quarter, monthly SIP contributions, including STPs, totaled ₹1,085 crore, supported by 4.03 million SIP accounts, and the company added around 5.47 lakh new SIPs. After the results announcement, its stock fell 5.5% to ₹1,055, its lowest level in over a month.
