AMD gains Microsoft Azure AI deployment as bullish thesis builds
Yahoo Finance highlights a July 20 Azure rollout using AMD Helios hardware, alongside a $564.64 price target implying about 12% upside from $503.57.
Advanced Micro Devices is getting a boost to its artificial intelligence infrastructure story after Microsoft announced Azure will deploy AMD’s Helios Rackscale Solution for AI inference, using Instinct MI455 GPUs, Venice CPUs, and Pensando DPUs, according to Yahoo Finance.
The outlet frames the Azure win as reinforcing AMD’s position in hyperscaler AI systems, even as it points to competitive pressure from NVIDIA’s Rubin platform and Broadcom’s ASIC advantages.
Yahoo Finance also reiterates a BUY view and a $564.64 price target for AMD, which it says implies 12.1% upside from the cited $503.57 share price. The coverage assigns a 90% confidence level, noting the stock is about 8% below its $584.73 52-week high.
The bullish case is supported by reported performance and guidance, including Q1 FY2026 revenue of $10.253 billion, up 37.9% year over year, and non-GAAP EPS of $1.37, plus free cash flow of $2.566 billion. The outlet adds management guided Q2 revenue to $11.2 billion, roughly 46% growth.
