Bharat Coking Coal shares fall after Q1FY27 loss
Revenue from operations fell 3.5% year on year to ₹3,587.3 crore, while production and offtake both declined in the June quarter.
Bharat Coking Coal (BCCL) shares slid on Wednesday after the company reported weak Q1FY27 results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, according to LiveMint Markets.
The PSU reported a consolidated net loss of ₹68.1 crore for Q1FY27, versus a net profit of ₹176.9 crore in the year-ago period. EBITDA also swung to an operating-level loss of ₹64.5 crore, compared with an EBITDA profit of ₹191.0 crore a year earlier.
Revenue from operations declined 3.6% year on year to ₹3,587.3 crore, though it rose 9.3% sequentially from ₹3,283.0 crore in the March quarter. Production fell to 6.56 million tonnes from 9.04 million tonnes year on year, and offtake decreased to 7.72 million tonnes from 8.98 million tonnes.
On the day, BCCL shares opened at ₹36.07 and later touched an intraday low of ₹34.40 on NSE. The stock was down 6.96% in the session, and it has also slipped 5.14% over the week and 15.88% over the month.
