BPCL reports Q1 net loss of ₹3,962 crore on margin pressures
The company said its net loss for the June quarter followed a return from profit, with margin pressures weighing results versus both the prior quarter and the year-ago period.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) reported a net loss of ₹3,962 crore for the June quarter, reversing from net profit of ₹3,191 crore in the preceding March quarter, LiveMint Markets said.
According to the report, the decline was driven by margin pressures, and BPCL’s net profit also fell versus the year-ago quarter when it had posted ₹6,124 crore.
LiveMint Markets added that the figures were for Q1 FY27, reflecting weaker profitability in the quarter as margins pressured earnings.
