SoFi earnings due July 29, spotlight on non-lending revenue growth

SoFi is scheduled to report Q2 results on July 29, and investors will focus on whether fee based, capital light revenue growth is reaccelerating after the stock’s 34.7% year to date decline.

SoFi is set to report second quarter earnings on Wednesday, July 29, with investors watching a key performance area: non-lending business revenue. Yahoo Finance frames this segment as increasingly important to the company’s long term growth plan, because strong expansion in fee based, capital light activities can diversify revenue away from lending and potentially reduce credit risk.

So far in 2026, SoFi shares have lagged broader markets, with the stock down 34.7% year to date. The report says that if management can demonstrate improving momentum in non-lending growth, it could help restore investor confidence and support the stock after earnings.

Operationally, SoFi has continued to build its customer base and deepen product usage. In the first quarter, the company added a record 1.1 million new members, taking total membership to 14.7 million, up 35% year over year, and it added a record 1.8 million new products, bringing total products to 22.2 million, up 39% from a year earlier.

For Q2, management expects adjusted net revenue of about $1.12 billion, implying roughly 30% year over year growth. The preview also notes that lending should remain the largest revenue contributor, supported by originations across personal, student, and home loans, while non-lending businesses are expected to contribute meaningfully as well.
