Wells Fargo offered just a $4,000 limit for a $17,000 balance transfer

A reader who wanted to transfer $17,000 in credit-card debt to a Wells Fargo card says the bank offered only a $4,000 credit limit for the transfer, according to MarketWatch.

The outlet reports the customer asked why the offered limit was so low, but Wells Fargo could not provide an explanation, the reader said.
