City Different global equity strategies outperform in Q2 2026
Focused Global gained 7.1% in Q2, while Global Equity rose 5.4%, trailing the MSCI ACWI’s 14.9% total return.
City Different Investments, an asset manager, said its global equity strategies delivered solid second quarter results in an investor update it posted for Q2 2026, though it lagged the broader market amid AI-driven enthusiasm, according to Yahoo Finance.
The firm reported that its Focused Global strategy returned 7.1% for the quarter and its Global Equity strategy gained 5.4%, compared with an MSCI All Country World Index return of 14.9%. On a year-to-date basis, Focused Global returned 11.3% and Global Equity returned 5.3%, versus 11.3% for the MSCI ACWI.
City Different said the strategies use focused, long-only portfolios of globally selected equities built around long-term fundamental assessments. In the same Q2 letter, the firm highlighted ICON Public Limited Company (NASDAQ: ICLR), describing it as a clinical research organization that provides outsourced development and commercialization services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.
The update also noted that ICON shares closed at $166.62 on July 21, 2026, and that the stock rose 4.5% over one month while falling 1.5% over the past 52 weeks. The letter said ICON was a new purchase and became the top contributor to results for the second quarter after the accounting error was fixed and bookings and cancellations showed encouraging trends.
