Infosys Q1 profit rises 12.3% YoY, revenue grows 14%
Profit fell 8.6% QoQ even as revenue from operations increased to ₹48,211 crore in Q1FY27.
Infosys reported Q1FY27 results for the April to June quarter on 23 July, posting consolidated profit of ₹7,769 crore, up 12.3% year on year. However, profit declined 8.6% quarter on quarter from ₹8,501 crore in Q4FY26, according to LiveMint Markets.
Revenue from operations came in at ₹48,211 crore, up 14.0% YoY and 3.9% QoQ. The company also said revenue rose 2.4% YoY and 1.0% QoQ in constant currency terms, alongside EBIT of ₹10,163 crore, which increased 15.4% YoY.
EBIT margin was 21.1%, up 0.3% YoY and 0.1% QoQ, and basic EPS rose 14.9% YoY to ₹19.19. Infosys’ CFO, Jayesh Sanghrajka, attributed the margins and cash generation to the business model, disciplined execution, and operational excellence.
Alongside the financial results, Infosys announced CEO transition plans, naming Ashiss Kumar Dash as CEO designate. Dash is set to become CEO and Managing Director on 1 April 2027 for a five-year term, while Nandan Nilekani said the board expects Dash to drive transformation alongside preserving company values and customer trust.
