Infosys set to report Q1 FY27 results, with guidance in focus

Ahead of the July 23 after-hours release, shares fell about 2% and brokers expect constant-currency revenue growth around 2.0% quarter-on-quarter.

Infosys, India's second-largest IT services company, is scheduled to report its Q1 FY27 results on Thursday, July 23, after market hours. Investors will be looking for signals on whether demand is recovering in key markets, as well as any updates to the company’s revenue outlook for the full financial year, LiveMint Markets reports. Ahead of the announcement, Infosys shares slipped about 2% on the NSE during Thursday’s session, reflecting cautious positioning by market participants. Motilal Oswal expects the company to deliver 2.0% quarter-on-quarter constant currency revenue growth, with 1.0% coming from organic growth, and it attributes part of the improvement to about two months of contribution from the Optimum and Stratus acquisitions, the outlet adds. Motilal Oswal also expects growth to remain more weighted toward the first half of the year, consistent with prior trends. On vertical demand, it anticipates continued resilience in the US banking, financial services and insurance segment, while telecom and manufacturing are expected to stay under pressure due to client-specific issues, including an ongoing Daimler ramp-down. For full-year targets, Motilal Oswal expects Infosys to trim the top end of its FY27 constant currency revenue growth guidance by 50 basis points, revising the range to 1.5% to 3.0% year-on-year. It projects operating margin to rise 40 basis points sequentially to 21.4%, supported by factors including the absence of wage hikes in the quarter, reversal of visa-related expenses from the March quarter, and continued cost savings under Project Maximus.
