SBI Mutual Fund cuts Ather Energy stake to about 5% after share sale
The fund sold 616,733 shares on 21 July, trimming its holding from 5.2115% to 5.0550% of Ather Energy’s paid-up share capital.
SBI Mutual Fund booked partial profits in Ather Energy on 21 July, further reducing its ownership to about 5% in the Indian electric-vehicle maker, according to LiveMint Markets.
The fund house said it sold 616,733 shares, equivalent to 0.1565% of Ather Energy’s paid-up share capital. Prior to the latest offloading, SBI Mutual Fund held 2,05,39,758 shares, or a 5.2115% stake, across its various schemes.
After the transaction, SBI Mutual Fund’s holding fell to 1,99,23,025 shares, or 5.0550% of the paid-up share capital, based on the close of business hours on 21 July 2026.
Ather Energy shares ended 2.9% lower at ₹1,231.30 on the BSE on 23 July, after having reached a 52-week high of ₹1,343 on 16 July. In the company’s recent financing activity, Ather Energy also raised funds through a preferential issue of shares and warrants, with the issue price set at ₹1,230 per share and ₹1,260 per warrant.
