Bank of Baroda set to report Q1 results, focus on loan growth
Investors are watching for guidance on credit demand and margins, with one brokerage projecting net interest income growth and a profit rise for the June quarter.
State-owned Bank of Baroda will announce its quarterly financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 after its Board meets on July 24 to approve unaudited standalone and consolidated statements, according to a stock exchange filing reported by LiveMint Markets.
Ahead of the announcement, market participants are expected to focus on loan growth, net interest margins, and asset quality, along with management commentary on credit demand and margin trends in the current interest rate environment.
Motilal Oswal Financial Services (MOFSL) expects Bank of Baroda to post net interest income of ₹12,950 crore for the June quarter, up 13.3% year-on-year, and forecast net profit increasing 13.8% year-on-year to ₹5,170 crore.
MOFSL also expects the loan book to grow 22.2% year-on-year, driven by strength in retail, agriculture, and MSME lending, while projecting credit cost to stay in a 0.4% to 0.5% range, and it expects net interest margin to decline 9 basis points sequentially.
For context, the bank reported a net profit of ₹5,616 crore in the March quarter, up 11.2% year-on-year, and said its trading window for designated persons will reopen on July 27 after being closed since July 1 ahead of the June quarter results.
