Bharat Electronics Q1 profit rises 8.2% as revenue grows 25.3% YoY
BEL reported net profit of ₹1,048 crore for Q1 FY27 and said its order book stood at ₹72,258 crore as of July 1, 2026.
Bharat Electronics (BEL), India’s defence public sector undertaking, reported consolidated net profit for Q1 FY27 rose 8.2% year on year to ₹1,048 crore, up from ₹969 crore in the year-ago quarter, according to LiveMint Markets.
The company also posted revenue from operations of ₹5,533 crore, up 25.3% YoY from ₹4,417 crore in Q1 FY26. On a sequential basis, however, both profit and revenue declined, with net profit down 52.4% from ₹2,203 crore in the March quarter and revenue down 45.6% from ₹10,177 crore.
At the operating level, BEL said EBITDA stood at ₹1,389 crore, compared with ₹1,240 crore in the year-ago quarter, with the EBITDA margin at 25.1% versus about 28% in Q1 FY26. The company’s filing also pointed to higher total expenses, including material costs, as part of the quarter’s cost profile.
BEL said its order book was ₹72,258 crore as of July 1, 2026. LiveMint Markets also noted that in July the company secured a ₹572 crore order for communication equipment, avionics, encryptors, tank sub-systems and related services, following a ₹1,081 crore order in late June and a ₹608 crore order in May.
