Hilton Q2 tops Wall Street estimates but shares fall on outlook

Hilton reported Q2 revenue of $3.34B and adjusted EPS of $2.29, while it projected 2026 diluted EPS of $8.89 to $9.01.

Hilton Worldwide Holdings posted second-quarter results slightly above Wall Street expectations, but investor reaction was negative as the company pointed to a more modest path than earlier industry visions. Bisnow said Hilton revenue rose 6.5% year over year to $3.34B, and adjusted earnings per share came in at $2.29 for the quarter, versus a consensus revenue estimate of $3.32B and an analyst EPS estimate of $2.27, according to Seeking Alpha.

Hilton said its systemwide comparable revenue per available room increased by nearly 4% from the same quarter in 2025, supported by higher occupancy and average daily rates. The company attributed some of the quarter’s performance to demand trends that it expects to continue, while noting that the 2026 FIFA World Cup did not produce the larger, Super Bowl-scale impacts some tourism officials had forecast for host markets.

Bisnow reported Hilton’s stock was down about 3% shortly before 1 p.m. EST on Tuesday. Looking ahead, Hilton expects net unit growth of 6% to 7% in 2026 and projected third-quarter diluted adjusted EPS of $2.28 to $2.34, against a $2.43 consensus estimate, while continuing to forecast systemwide comparable RevPAR growth around 4%.

For full-year 2026, Hilton projected earnings per share of $8.89 to $9.01, which could reach the $9.01 consensus target, with its business plan reflecting benefits from the World Cup in the third quarter and potential headwinds from later calendar shifts. Bisnow also noted Hilton projected adjusted EBITDA of $1.04B to $1.05B in the third quarter.
