Investors watch Ford guidance as it prepares to report Q2 results

Consensus calls for $44.72 billion in revenue and adjusted EPS of $0.36, while the key focus is whether Ford raises full-year outlook amid weaker EV demand.

Ford is set to report its second-quarter results on Tuesday, with investors focused on whether management will follow General Motors in lifting its full-year outlook and how far softness in electric vehicle demand extends across the lineup, according to Yahoo Finance.

For the quarter, the Bloomberg consensus estimates automotive revenue of $44.72 billion and adjusted EPS of $0.36, based on adjusted EBIT of $2.15 billion and an adjusted EBIT margin of 4.3%.

The larger watch item is guidance. After Ford’s Q1 report, the company raised full-year adjusted EBIT guidance to $8.5 billion to $10.5 billion from $8.0 billion to $10.0 billion, matching GM’s guidance boost of $500 million, and analysts may expect another increase if conditions improve.

On the demand and cost side, Ford warned that 2026 first-half EBIT would be lower than the second half due to temporary aluminum sourcing for F-Series pickups, and it pointed to near-term EV demand dropping sharply after the loss of federal tax credits. Earlier in the month, Ford reported a 10.3% decline in second-quarter US sales to 549,200 vehicles, and said first-half sales fell 9.6% to just over 1 million vehicles.
