Wintrust posts record Q2 net income as loans and deposits grow
Second-quarter revenue rose 10% year over year to $738.6 million, while adjusted EPS of $3.30 beat the $3.15 average estimate.
Wintrust Financial reported record results for the second quarter, driven by continued growth in both lending and funding, MarketBeat Ratings said. The Illinois-based regional bank, which operates across states including Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana, posted the quarter as it continues a streak of higher profitability into mid-2026.
Revenue increased 10% year over year to $738.6 million, and adjusted earnings per share came in at $3.30 versus analysts’ $3.15 expectation. Net income reached a record $233.7 million, with total loans rising to $55.7 billion and total deposits climbing to $61.1 billion.
By June 30, Wintrust said assets totaled $74.7 billion, up from about $23 billion a decade earlier. Net interest income rose 9.3% year over year to $597.4 million, while the net interest margin held roughly steady at 3.5%.
The outlet noted that shares dipped slightly after the earnings release on July 20, when the bank showed a four basis point compression in its net interest margin. Wintrust’s stock was also described as up 127% over the past five years and more than 14% year to date, with a Moderate Buy rating and a $177.77 average price target implying about 12% upside.
