Adani Enterprises posts Q1 net loss after one-time OFAC settlement

The loss followed a ₹2,644 crore one-time charge tied to a settlement payment to the US Office of Foreign Assets Control, while revenue rose 49.9% year over year to ₹32,924 crore.

Adani Enterprises reported a consolidated net loss of ₹1,160 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, compared with a net profit of ₹885 crore in the year-ago period, according to LiveMint Markets citing Reuters.

The company attributed the swing to a one-time charge of ₹2,644 crore paid as a settlement amount to the US Office of Foreign Assets Control, even as revenue increased 49.9% year over year to ₹32,924 crore.

Operating results improved as well, with EBITDA rising 51.6% year over year to ₹5,018 crore and EBITDA margin holding around 15.2% versus 15.1% a year earlier, reflecting resilience despite the exceptional charge.

Adani Enterprises said it started FY27 on a strong note, including commencement of international operations at Navi Mumbai International Airport from July 15, 2026, toll collections beginning on the Ganga Expressway from May 15, 2026, and commissioning of a 1.7 GW solar module manufacturing line during the quarter, it also completed a ₹15,000 crore Qualified Institutional Placement, or QIP.
