Vedanta Aluminium Metal Q1 profit rises 33.8% QoQ to ₹5,629 crore

The company reported revenue from operations of ₹21,393 crore and expanded EBITDA margin to 48.1% in Q1 FY27, alongside a record 632 kilotonnes of aluminium output.

Vedanta Aluminium Metal Ltd reported strong results for the first quarter of FY27, with net profit rising 33.8% quarter-on-quarter to ₹5,629 crore, from ₹4,207 crore in the March quarter, LiveMint Markets reported on July 30.

Revenue from operations increased 11.9% sequentially to ₹21,393 crore, while EBITDA grew 23.3% quarter-on-quarter to ₹10,299 crore. The EBITDA margin expanded to 48.14% from 43.68% as operating performance improved.

The company also said it achieved its highest-ever quarterly aluminium production of 632 kilotonnes (KT) in Q1 FY27, up 3% sequentially and 5% year-on-year. Production of value-added products reached a record 389 KT, and alumina production rose 41% year-on-year to 826 KT, supported by higher refining capacity and improved asset utilisation.

In comments on the quarter, Rajesh Kumar, Whole-Time Director and CEO of Vedanta Aluminium, said the company has begun its journey as an independent entity with strong operational and financial performance, and it remains focused on resource security, integration, and expanding its value-added product portfolio. He added that Vedanta Aluminium is working on cost leadership and building a globally competitive aluminium business to create long-term value for stakeholders.
