AI stock rout cuts situational awareness by two thirds in July

The hedge-fund firm behind the decline said it sold most of its positions to Citadel during the month.

WSJ Markets reports that situational awareness fell 67% in July amid an AI stock rout.

The outlet says the hedge-fund firm, led by Leopold Aschenbrenner, told investors it had sold the bulk of its stocks to Citadel.

In a message to investors, the firm said it let investors down during the month.
