Alibaba disputes report linking Nvidia chips to Moonshot AI build

Bloomberg cited an agreement for Moonshot to use Nvidia H200s, but Alibaba said the premise was wrong.

Alibaba pushed back on a report claiming China’s Moonshot AI model was built with Nvidia chips, according to MarketWatch, citing an account from Bloomberg.

The report said Alibaba has an agreement for Moonshot to use Nvidia H200s, but Alibaba disputed that characterization.

MarketWatch said Alibaba’s response indicated it did not accept the report’s framing about Nvidia’s role in the model’s development.
