AutoZone highlights aftermarket and international growth focus

Benzinga points to AutoZone as a consumer discretionary stock with growth opportunities, noting the company’s position as a major seller of aftermarket automotive parts, tools, and accessories to do-it-yourself customers in the United States.

The outlet says AutoZone’s sales mix includes an increasing portion from domestic commercial customers, while the do-it-yourself segment still dominates the company’s home market, accounting for nearly 75% of sales in the country.

Benzinga also highlights AutoZone’s geographic expansion, citing a growing presence in Mexico and Brazil, alongside its U.S. store base.

The outlet states AutoZone had 6,767 stores across the U.S., Mexico, and Brazil as of the end of fiscal 2021, including 6,051 in the United States, 664 in Mexico, and 52 in Brazil.
